PARIS 2024: François Rebsamen announces that the Olympic flame will pass through Dijon

This Thursday, February 23, the mayor of Dijon announced that the Olympic flame will stop in 2024 in Dijon, in partnership with the Department of Côte-d’Or.

At the turn of the presentation of the budget for the year, this February 23, 2023, the mayor of Dijon François Rebsamen (PS, FP) made an announcement concerning the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris 2024.

The mayor indicated that “the Olympic flame will pass through Dijon”. “We will do that with the Department, hand in hand, it’s the Olympics,” he added, which made the audience smile.

Indeed, for his part, the president of the departmental council of Côte-d’Or François Sauvadet (UDI) had already announced that the community was selected for a passage of the Olympic flame in the department for one day.

The two communities have therefore planned to join forces to finance this passage. The City of Dijon is already labeled Terres de Jeux 2024 and a preparation center for the Olympic Games.
