A collision took place this Sunday, July 10, 2022 around 6:20 a.m. at a place called La Finarderie, in Parigné-le-Pôlin, about twenty kilometers south of Le Mans. The frontal impact occurred on the D323, which connects Le Mans to La Flèche.
A car would have deported, hitting the van which was traveling in the opposite direction. The firefighters of Cérans-Foulletourte and La Suze-sur-Sarthe intervened.
The driver of this van, in his sixties, was seriously injured and airlifted to hospital in Angers, but his life did not seem to be in danger. The second driver, slightly injured, was taken to Le Mans hospital.
Both were tested for alcohol or the presence of narcotics. A gendarmerie investigation will have to determine the circumstances and the responsibilities of this accident.
