When buying school supplies, parents of first grade students should avoid goods with an unusual appearance and especially those that imitate different foods.
This is what the founder of the online platform “We, the users” Gabriela Rumenova recommended on the air of Euronews Bulgaria television.
She gave an example of liquid glues in the form of fruit juices or milk, rubber bands with the shape and flavor of fruits, etc. and explained that such products are prohibited. However, the desire of merchants to stand out with originality and realize more sales leads to the offer of such items as well.
In the “Good Morning Europe” studio, the expert recommended that when signing declarations of consent for the processing of the child’s personal data by the school, language centers and schools of interest, parents should carefully familiarize themselves with the content of the document before signing.
“In addition to data from the so-called general category such as name, address, phone, e-mail, etc., there is also a special category – they are related to the health status of the child, for example. Parents have the right to decide exactly which personal data to provide for processing and for exactly what purposes. It is important for them to keep in mind that when they allow their children to participate in photos and videos to be published on a website or in social networks, they can also release so-called special data – for example, some kind of disability. In case of illegal processing of the data, they can refer to the Commission for the Protection of Personal Data,” she explained.
If parents are unable to cope with securing the necessary funds for the market for the new school year and decide to take out a loan, it is best to turn to a banking institution rather than a quick loan company.
In case they resort to a quick loan, they should check a few selected companies in the BNB register to make sure they are legal.
Then ask them to fill in a Standard European form, in which the granted funds, the interest and the annual interest rate (APR) are indicated – it is on this basis that they can find out how much the loan will cost them and compare the different offers.
In response to a question from the host Nikolay Lefedzhiev, Rumenova also commented on the current unequal clauses of the mobile operators, which lead to unfair penalties and price indexation.
According to her, the collective claims for the announcement of the penalty clauses for early termination of the contract at the initiative of the subscriber should be renewed. With regard to the indexation clauses, she pointed out that from one unfair arrangement, KZP agreed to another, which is also to the detriment of consumers.
