The national prosecutor, Jorge Abbott, met with the parents of little Tomás Bravo, whose investigation of his death has been questioned by his parents. According to the mother’s lawyer, in the interview he discussed the possible errors of the Prosecutor’s Office and requesting the resignation of the persecutors of the case was not ruled out.

Lawyer Pelayo Vial -representing Tomás Bravo’s mother, Estefanía Gutiérrez- pointed out that the purpose of the meeting was to represent the errors of the Prosecutor’s Office. The latter, committed from the beginning of the investigation.
Along with the above, the professional indicated that it was also due to analyze the proceedings that are still pending.
However, it transpired that at the meeting, Estefanía Gutiérrez would have asked prosecutor Abbott to change the persecutors at the local level, Marcela Cartagena and José Ortiz.
However, the latter was not confirmed, but neither was it ruled out by the Vial lawyer.
At the meeting, they were also present; Moisés Bravo, the father of the boy found dead after his disappearance in February of last year in Arauco, and his lawyer, by the Fundación Amparo y Justicia, Alejandro Espinoza.
