The “Youth and well-being” survey carried out last May with high school students of the 3rd grade of Huanimara, in which 148 women and 152 men took part, revealed data that worry our society regarding the panorama of addictions. among the youth of the municipality.

Statistics showed that 2 out of 10 teenagers got drunk one or more times in their life and 3 out of 10 students indicated they were away from home after 10 am and only half of the respondents sleep an average of 8 hours or more every night. , among other data, 3 out of 10 adolescents use electronic cigarettes and 4% of respondents have ever tried marijuana.

Regarding the time spent with the family, the results revealed that only half of the students spend time with their parents on working days and 8 out of 10 parents know where their teens are at night. In the school area, 7 out of 10 students feel safe in their educational institution.

Regarding the leisure factor, it is necessary that adolescents spend their time in healthy activities, such as sports or some cultural activity, since, according to the survey, only 2 out of 10 students play any sport and spend almost half respondents spend 3 hours or more on social networks, among other figures that affect our society.

Therefore, parents undertake to combat these problems through various actions.

For this they have established

Set a time to sleep.

Respect the time to go home.

Be aware of their daughters ‘and sons’ social networks and mobile phones in general.

Be aware of your friends.

And spend some quality time together.
