(UPDATE) That was not expected. Not by chance. The first coaching sessions are taking place at the Pardubice training camp, former captain Marek Zadina resigned as head coach on 9 October. “We were surprised by his decision, but we have full respect for him,” sporting director Petr Sýkora told the club’s official website.
The news of Zadin’s shock departure came amid speculation about who will expand Dynamo’s executive team after an uncertain start to the season. Miloslav Hořava has grown a lot for the coaching job in the last few days. According to information from hokej.cz, this variant may not happen at all.
Whether the deal with the East Bohemian giants works or not, Zadin won’t stand by. “He had the full support of the club’s management. That is what the implementation team tried to add appropriately,” Sýkora confirms.
The fifty-year-old strategist leaves Pardubice with the label of the second team in the extra league table. It’s a bit ironic… The team was on the same run when Václav Varaďa finished there nine months ago – under different circumstances.
“Marek always did what he thought was best for the A Team. He has been in a very difficult situation since he arrived,” admitted the club’s sporting director. tenure at Dynamo too with a decision he thought was best for the team. I wish Mark the best in his future endeavors and I believe our paths will cross. again in time.”

The main candidate for championship laurels, despite the position in the table, is hurting. The star group around national team captain Roman Červenka is nowhere near as expected. It should be said that offensive leader Lukáš Sedlák has been missing since the second round.
After three falls from the previous four rounds, however, Zadina fired a cougar. “The start of the season was not ideal from a game point of view, and I believe that my departure will relieve the team of the pressure they had and will be a real boost,” he explains.
“I wish Dynamo will do well. I always gave him everything and I hope that’s how I will be remembered here,” said the coach who led the team to silver medals this spring. He has been change of direction from January 18, previously he worked in Pardubice as an assistant to Varaď and Radim Rulík.
The reserve team’s sporting manager, Václav Baďouček, will take over as interim head coach for Wednesday’s Champions League match against Lahti. It could be clear about Zadin’s successor in the coming days.
