According to the Sûreté du Québec, two men in their twenties fell from their paddle boards shortly before 6 p.m. in Oka Park.
One of them was rescued, but the other is said to have sunk. They weren’t wearing life jackets.
The Coast Guard and the Oka Fire Department participated in the search all evening, to no avail.
The Sûreté du Québec continued to patrol the banks that night. Divers could go on site during the morning.
