Paramedic bitten in the face by female patient

A courageous paramedic who had part of her cheek torn off by a young woman in crisis wishes to return to work despite this particularly traumatic event that occurred on Friday.

Jenna Piscitello, who works for New York City, explained that she has a real passion for her job and the incident would not stop her.

“I will continue to show empathy, which I always do with people,” she explained in an interview with the New York Post.

Despite everything, the paramedic who has seven years of experience admits that this incident was “a bit traumatic”,

The paramedic was attacked Friday after being called for a patient “with an altered mind” in Brooklyn.

The 28-year-old explained that a 17-year-old woman was trying to escape from a home, and repeatedly fell.

If she was not threatening, when the paramedics tried to place her on a stretcher, she reacted very badly.

“She hugged my chest with her legs, put her hands around my neck, and took a good bite out of my face,” recalls the health worker.

“She’s been on top of me for at least a minute. I felt like it lasted forever. The pain was insane, ”she says. “I literally felt his teeth enter my flesh. Like a saw that cuts me! “

The paramedic did not realize how badly injured she was and even continued to take care of the young woman.

Then her partner looked at her and said, “We have another ambulance for you.”

Jenna Piscitello had to receive four stitches in the hospital and is due to see a plastic surgeon soon.
