Late on Thursday night, the organizers announced that similar restrictions as during the Olympics will also apply during the Paralympics – that is, no audience in Tokyo. However, a limited number of spectators will be allowed at the competitions held in Shizuoka.
According to the newspaper Yomiuri Shimbun, the organizers are considering whether to invite school children as an audience to the games.
The Paralympics are held between August 24 and September 5.
