This time it’s the right one! After missing the podium twice in para-biathlon in recent days, Benjamin Daviet, standard bearer for the French team at the 2022 Paralympic Games, won his first medal in Beijing on Wednesday March 9, by dominating the sprint in cross-country skiing.
First title in the discipline
Triple Paralympic champion in Pyeongchang in 2018, the Frenchman has perfectly mastered the race in the standing category to afford the first title of his career in the discipline.
Second in the qualifications, then winner of his semi-final, he beat the German Marco Maier and the Ukrainian Grygorii Vovchynskyi in the final.
