The man, who also managed to open the emergency canopy, ended up in a tree at a height of about 15 meters around 12.30 pm in the wooded area below the town of the hamlet of Opreno, a few hundred meters as the crow flies from the place where the landing was planned. Once he was stuck, he asked for help and an ambulance from the Cisanese Rescue Service, the Valle Imagna Alpine Rescue Service and the Carabinieri arrived on the scene. Rescuers reached him, secured him and lowered him to the ground. Evaluated from a health point of view by the two CNSAS doctors present, he was placed on a stretcher and transported with a sedan chair to the ambulance. Fortunately, the accident did not have serious consequences and, after checks on the spot, the man – who remained conscious at all times – was able to return home.
