Karim Benzema won the 2022 Ballon d’Or, while Robert Lewandowski received the Gerd Muller Award, but social media activists have focused on something else related to the big difference between the price of the two big stars’ watches.
Benzema appeared at the Ballon d’Or gala in Paris on Monday evening, wearing the world’s most complicated watch brand “Richard Mille RM 65-01”, whose manufacturing company took 5 years of testing to bring to market, since it includes a frequency it is able to reduce the time to a tenth of a second with maximum precision, which is obviously very expensive at half a million euros.
Conversely, on Monday Lewandowski appeared to be wearing a much cheaper watch on his wrist, identified as a Casio watch worth only 60 euros.
The Polish star previously owned a Patek Philippe watch worth € 70,000, but it was stolen in a serious accident at the entrance to the Barcelona sports complex earlier in the season.
