With a holiday program on November 1 and 2 stud farm “Kabiyuk”created even before the Liberation, will mark its 160th anniversary since its establishment near the city of Shumen. The Minister of Agriculture, Georgi Tahov, will also be a guest at the birthday party.
On November 1, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., there will be a number of events on the territory of the farm. At a ceremony in the morning, the minister will present a plaque for the contribution of the state stud farm to the development of the sector.
At 11 a.m. a horse parade follows. The “Museum of the Horse” and the museum exposition in the residence of Prince Alexander I of Battenberg will be open to visitors throughout the day. During the day, farmers will offer their products at the market, organized especially for the holiday.
For the little ones, there will be a children’s corner with ponies.
On November 2, at the Hippodrome in Shumen, from 10:30 to 14:00, horse competitions will be held in smooth racing and show jumping.
“We invite all citizens to come and bring their children to the oldest stud farm in Bulgaria, founded in 1864, and to present to the general public the beauty, grace and strength of stallions and mares in 7 main, long-selected elite breeds,” said Martin Marinov – executive director of DP “Kabiyuk”.
