Rodrigo Santillán became the first representative of Peruvian paraswimming to qualify for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, after our country received a quota in this discipline from the World Para Swimming.
According to the national ranking, the National Paralympic Association of Peru (ANPP) awarded the place to the member of the Athlete Support Program (PAD) of the Peruvian Sports Institute (IPD), supported by having three MQS (Minimum Classification Score) .
In this way, Santillán will have his second experience in the Paralympic Games, after having competed in Tokyo 2020, where he reached the final in the 100 meters, backstroke, functional class S2.
