Alejandro “Papu” Gómez was born and raised as a footballer in Arsenal, in Sarandí, where he was champion of the Copa Sudamericana in 2007, and now, 15 years later, he is none other than the world champion, so today, true to his origins, went to visit the Viaducto club in that brand new condition.
Gómez, who will turn 35 on 15 February, has been unable to play since the quarter-finals with ligament damage in his left ankle after starting the World Cup against Saudi Arabia.
