After all, Nikos Pappas criticized the government and the Prime Minister personally from the floor of the Parliament, emphasizing the crime of Tempi, as he described Kyriakos Mitsotakis as the “high priest of the cover-up” of the deadly railway tragedy.
The position of the leader of the official opposition began with a brief conflict with the speaker of the Parliament. Konstantinos Tasoulas commented critically on Zoi Konstantopoulou’s interventions during the Prime Minister’s speech, who left the Plenary immediately after his inauguration, disdaining his political opponents and the obligation to be accountable to the national delegation.
Afterwards, Mr. Pappas reminded that the name of Mr. Mitsotakis was linked in 2013 with the near loss of community funds for digital modernization projects. He submitted to the minutes the relevant letter sent by the then competent Commissioner, Johannes Hahn, linking this fact to the current investigation by the European Prosecutor on the direct assignments of the staff state.
