To know : It is a European regulation of June 20, 2019 which imposes the generalization of this card from August 2, 2021. It will be obligatory, in all the States of the Union which already have a national identity card.

What does it contain?
Its highly secure electronic chip includes information that appears on the card: name, usual name, first names, date and place of birth, address, size, sex, date of issue of the card and its expiry date as well as, as for the passport, the photo of the face and the fingerprints (except for minors under the age of twelve).
It is also equipped with a visual electronic seal (CEV) signed by the State, which allows automatic reading and resumes the data entered on the card, which will allow rapid detection of possible fraud if these data have been modified.
To know : For children in shared custody, there will always be 2 addresses.
