Sydney Sweeney (27) spoke about her safety concerns in an interview with the US magazine “Glamour”. The actress is being harassed by paparazzi at her new home in Florida. Even her family was shouted at by the pushy photographers and begged for bikini photos when they found her in front of the house. “They said, ‘If you tell her to come outside in just a bikini, I’ll take pictures and then I’ll leave you alone,'” Sweeney said.
Sweeney’s house becomes a tourist attraction
“I have pictures of these guys in kayaks hiding in bushes in the ocean,” she continued. “They arrived at 8 a.m. and didn’t leave until 4 p.m. I should be able to be in my house and feel comfortable and safe.” If the paparazzi published the pictures from her property, “then my safety is actually in danger. Everyone knows where I am.”
Sydney Sweeney’s home has now become a tourist attraction. “Now there are boats going by and I literally hear them saying, ‘That’s Sydney Sweeney’s house.’ It becomes a star tour in my front yard,” the “Euphoria” actress complained.
Sweeney considers allegations that she called the paparazzi to her house herself to be completely unfounded. This would seriously endanger her own safety: “Why would I call paparazzi to take photos of me in my own house when my little cousins and my family are there and I’m in my garden? Why would I ever want to do that ?”
Sydney Sweeney became instantly famous
Sydney Sweeney is currently one of the most sought-after actresses in Hollywood. She became famous for her role as Emaline in the Netflix series “Everything Sucks!” (2018) known to a larger audience. Her breakthrough role came with the role of Cassie Howard in the acclaimed HBO series “Euphoria” (2019), which earned her widespread recognition and numerous offers. Her other roles include the films “Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood”, “Where the Lie Falls” and “Madame Web”.
In an interview with “Variety” last year, the 27-year-old spoke about the dark side of her sudden fame. “People build someone up so quickly and then they love to tear them down. And it’s so fascinating to see that. Three years ago I was in college like everyone else. And suddenly I’m not human more,” said Sweeney.
