THE Kostas Papanikolaou responded via social media to the NBL’s unfair post before his jamball Australia – Greece.
The Australian league had “erased” Greece by writing the name “John”in the related post – preview for the match in which Greece prevailed 77-71 keeping the hopes for the eight group alive.
Papanikolaou uploaded the characteristic image and then a corresponding one with the blue and white players, writing in English “First comes the Hubris and then the Nemesis”.

He took a stand for the post in question in his statements after the match and Vasilis Spanoulis.
The coach of the national team said the following: “It’s not just Giannis, it’s the whole team. For me he is the best player in the world. I was annoyed that the Australians brought out that they are playing against Giannis today. He made me stubborn. Papanikolaou was like he scored 30 points today, Kalaitzakis played 9 minutes but it was like he played 30. All the guys who came in helped, it’s the whole team.”
