It came as a shock when Stephanie Van Houtven (39) was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2020. She had never missed an appointment with the gynecologist. What’s more, when she had received complaints just before, she had several smears. But no abnormal cells were ever found. “Like me, there are women who think they are safe, when in fact they already have cancer.”
