PAOK – Viktoria Plzen 2-2: He woke up late but got the first point (Videos) –

PAOK got its first point in the 3rd matchday of the Europa League as with an epic counter-attack in the final they overturned the 0-2 of ten-man Victoria Plzen from the 70th minute and reached 2-2. On the 4th matchday, the “doubleheader” will be tested in England by Manchester United (7/11, 22.00).

In Toumba (which was not full…) Plzen surprised PAOK at the start of the match. He initially scored a goal with Andou in the 2nd minute, but VAR saved the Thessalonians as the scorer was almost offside. And in the 7th minute, Vidra went four to four with Kotarski but shot high out.

After the 10th minute, the “two-headed” equalized the match, kept the ball but could not create scoring opportunities as the pace was quite slow. But in the 31st minute, from a cross by Cantu and a first header by Andou, Havel, unmarked in the corner of the small area, opened the scoring with a one-piece shot. This phase was also checked by VAR but this time the goal counted (0-1). As if that wasn’t enough, in the 39th minute due to a mistake by Tyson, the speedy Andu ran into the opposition, took the shot, Kotarski made a bad save and Vidra scored 0-2 in an empty net, “freezing” Toumba.

In the 2nd half, PAOK came out more pressing and tried to find a quick goal that would give them the match again. But he threatened for the first time only in the 65th minute, in a shot by Tyson that was deflected by Jedliska.

In the 70th minute, Due was sent off with a 2nd yellow card and PAOK took the lead and Chalov almost reduced the lead in the 77th minute. In the 83′, however, Kotarski beat Zirka in the four-four, who could not make it 0-3, and in the PAOK counter-attack from a cross by Despodov, Tisundali reduced the score to 1-2 with a header in the 84′ and put the “double-header” again » in the match. In the 85th minute, Kamara’s shot was blocked by the Czech goalkeeper and in the 86th minute, Tisundali’s shot went wide of the target. The suffocating superiority of Lucescu’s men paid off in the 3rd of four minutes of stoppage time with Baba heading in from Kamara’s header for a 2-2 final.

The Swiss Lirs Sneijder yellow carded Doue (two), Markovic, Andu, Tisundali, and also removed the coach of the Czechs from the bench after the reduction of the score.

PAOK: Kotarski, Sastre (66′ Baba), Kenziora, Koley, Otto (76′ Chalov), Bakayoko (59′ Schwab), Kamara, Tyson (66′ Despodov), Constantelias, Zivkovic, Brandon (66′ Tisundali).

VICTORIA PLZEN: Jedlitska, Gemelka, Markovic, Due, Kalvach, Soika, Schultz, Cantu, Havel, Vidra (60′ Zirka), Andu (73′ Heide).
