The EPO Appeals Committee has upheld the punishment imposed by the Super League’s Primary Body on PAOK coach Razvan Lucescu, regarding what happened after the end of the derby with AEK at the OPAP Arena. The Romanian coach had been punished with a 23-day ban on entering the playing field and dressing room, and that is why he watched PAOK’s Sunday match with OFI from the stands, something that will also happen in the next games of the champions, since the penalty did not change. This means that Lucescu will not be on the bench in the derby against Olympiakos on November 10 in Toumba, for the 11th matchday of the SL1, as in today’s match (30/10) in the Cup with Aegaleo, but also in Lamia next Sunday (3/11).
Regarding the appeal of PAE AEK for Matias Almeida’s assistant, Daniel Vega, it was accepted and he was acquitted of his charges. The sentence of one of the two declared caretakers of PAEK PAOK, Kyriakos Yantsidis, was also reduced.
