Panji’s Analysis, The Fourth Axis Has the Potential to Become Anies Baswedan’s Stumbling Block, Here’s the Reason

FAJAR.CO.ID — It is reported that the Golkar and PAN parties will form a coalition to form the fourth axis in politics ahead of the 2024 presidential election. This fourth axis is said to have the potential to undermine Anes Baswedan.

Political expert and University of Bengkulu academic Dr Panji Suminar believes that if Golkar and PAN form the fourth axis, they could become a stumbling block for Anies Baswedan.

“If PAN and Golkar want to create a fourth axis, then this can undermine Anies Baswedan in the presidential election. I think the political oligarchs also approve of the fourth axis,” Panji said, quoted from Antara.

Panji said that if Golkar and PAN as the fourth axis carried their own presidential and cawapres candidates, then grassroots cadres and sympathizers who had an inclination towards Anies Baswedan’s figure would return “to their own homes”, alias to their respective political parties.

The solidity of the two political parties, continued Panji, is also getting better and will have a positive impact on the 2024 Pileg battle, namely ensuring that Golkar and PAN pass the parliamentary threshold.

“Party solidity has increased, the undercurrents and elites are in one direction again, this will make the party’s performance more optimal, not only in the presidential election, but also in the legislative election,” said Panji.

Panji said the two political parties also don’t need to worry if they don’t win in the presidential election because they can still “win” the 2024 Pileg.

“They were indeed prepared not to win in the presidential election, seeing the electability of the general chairman of the party if they were paired, but they actually entered the winners, because they were safe from the parliamentary threshold, and in the presidential election they continued to support the candidate with the most potential to be elected in the second round of the presidential election,” Panji said.
