Panic in Thalys about ‘confused and aggressive man’

The Thalys from Amsterdam to Paris has been stopped at Rotterdam due to an aggressive man. According to the Rotterdam police, he behaved confused and shouted strange things.

A witness says that the man has harassed travelers and has called allahu akbar. The police have also received these messages and are investigating the case. Whether he was armed is not clear.

Panic broke out in the train. People tried to come to other coupes. No one was injured, according to the police. The man was arrested at Rotterdam CS station and taken to the police station.

It concerned the Thalys that had left Amsterdam at 6.15 am. The Dutch Railways (NS) say that after half an hour of delay, the train could continue.
