As the first country who contracted Covid-19, now China is considered clean of the virus.
However, China has recently been panicked again. This is because the Jinan City authorities in eastern China said they had again discovered the corona virus
The virus was again found in imported beef and tripe from Brazil, New Zealand and Bolivia.
Jinan City Health Commission said the meat was found from importers in one of the business units of the Guotai International Group and the Shanghai Zhongli Development Trade.
They further added that more than 7,500 people are suspected of having had contact with products contaminated with the Covid-19 virus.
Before this, China also discovered the corona virus on packaged shrimp from Saudi Arabia in Lanzhou City, beef from Brazil in Wuhan City, and Argentinian beef in Shandong and Jiangsu provinces.
Meanwhile, China is still the biggest buyer of meat in the world. Brazil and Argentina, being one of the biggest suppliers.
Currently, health authorities is conducting virus detection on several packaged meat from abroad.
Even so, WHO itself says the risk of contracting COVID-19 from frozen food is arguably very low.
However, China has repeatedly panic after detecting the virus in imported food products. Therefore, his party is currently prohibiting imported goods.
