“Pangkalpinang Mayor Admits Owning Palm Oil Plantation and Clarified Assets”

Mayor Pangkalpinang, Maulan Aklil has been clarified by the KPK regarding his assets. He also finally admitted that he owned a palm oil plantation to a shop house (ruko).

Reported by detikSumbagsel, Maulan admitted that he did not talk much about the assets he had. He was worried that he would be called arrogant and be mistaken for corruption.

“Sometimes people fear that people will think we are corrupt just because we are mayor of this city. I had 52 boarding houses long before I became Mayor of Pangkalpinang. In 2010, 2011 I already had boarding houses,” he said, Wednesday ( 25/5/2023).

Maulan said that he has hundreds of hectares of oil palm plantations. besides that it has a shop house (ruko) in Palembang.

“I have hundreds of hectares of palm oil and I owned it before I became mayor long ago. I have a shop, I have a home business and all kinds of things in Palembang. I already have one here too. So don’t think about what we will have when we become Mayor of Pangkalpinang, this is what I want to explain,” he said.
