During the first days of February, the “Pandora Summer Festival” will take place in our department, a harmonious fusion of music, nature and well-being that has no precedent in San Rafael and that promises to revolutionize fun mixed with nature and the beautiful local landscapes. Patrick Schmidlin, of Swiss origin but who has lived in San Rafael for decades, is the creator of the Pandora project along with his team and provided some details through FM Vos (94.5) and the San Rafael newspaper.
At the “La Rivera” property (El Cable wakepark) which is located on National Route 175 in the vicinity of El Escorial, the “Pandora Summer Festival” will be held on February 2, 3 and 4 between 10 a.m. and the midnight. With the stellar participation of Maxi Trusso, “You Señálemelo”, “El Kuelgue”, “Nonpalidece”, “Gauchito Club”, “Pasado Verde”, Bettina, Edu Schmidt, “Equilibristas” and 20 more bands from different parts of the province , the country and even the world, this unmissable show will take place that will also include air shows, balloon rides, baptism flights, skydiving, open mic, wakeboarding, rafting, water slides, horseback riding, yoga, hiking, beach volleyball, wheel of fortune and a fair. It also offers culinary delights, with food trucks, a restaurant and a resto-bar on site.
“Bands will come that play different styles, in different settings on the property, fusing with nature. There is a singer who comes from Europe and then apart from that, there are outdoor activities,” Schmidlin highlighted and assured that everything will be to enjoy in an incredible setting. Although it will begin on Friday the 2nd in the morning, we open at 10:00 am, Patrick clarified that Friday will be hour Zero in the history of Pandora, at 6 pm the countdown begins to receive the festival with an explosion of colors and airshow.
“There are many things to see, to enjoy, a fair, and gastronomically everything will be available,” he said and added: “It will be very interesting because it will have a little bit of everything.” Taking into account that it will be the first time that something like this takes place in San Rafael, the organizer highlighted: “We want people to come, get to know us, so we already have a nice start for next year. The idea is to offer something important for San Rafael and put it on a national and even international scale, making it an event so that the next ones come from all over the country or making it international.”
Tickets for the Pandora Summer Festival 2024 can be obtained on the portal www.pandorasummerfestival.com. There will also be a purchase option on site, although it is advisable to buy them beforehand. “I recommend that you buy tickets online, so as not to do it directly here because even though there will be tickets it will be a little more complicated, because we have a sponsor that will put everything online, but it is easier to buy the ticket online and have it,” he said.
Patrick Schmidlin concluded that the intention has a lot to do with giving San Rafael a more visible space, especially in terms of tourism. “I think this combination of shows does not exist, or at least I did not see it anywhere in Argentina. The idea was not to copy something, not to make a ‘Cosquín Rock’ or something like that, but to do something different and with the idea of giving an impression to the tourists who are here, and who are going to return,” he remarked.
