Until recently, the little panda could not walk, only roll. But the animal is growing fast and is learning more and more, says head animal care of the zoo José Kok in a video.

In that video you can see that Fan Xing carefully puts the right leg forward. “Then the left leg was added. Then a good night’s sleep again, because this is of course a considerable step, ” says Kok.

And those first steps don’t stop there. Fan Xing also did some muscle exercises, according to Kok. “And then he happened to come with his right leg near a bamboo stick and held it for a while. You have to practice everything of course. ”

Fan Xing, whose name was announced three weeks ago, is now about four months old. If all goes well, the little panda can be seen by the public this autumn.
