Panathinaikos had won the first semi-final in Toumba (1-0), but in the second leg they found themselves with their backs against the wall. They were down 1-0 in the 90th minute, conceded a second goal in overtime, however Limnios led the match to the penalty shootout. In it, Dragovski saved three penalties and led the greens to the final.

The 90th minute and extra time
The first big chance of the semi-final was lost in the 14th minute. Živkovic crossed from the right, Schwab unmarked caught a powerful header – fishy with Dragovski clearing the danger. The Austrian midfielder was in a shooting position in the 20th minute as well, but this time he didn’t find the target.
The hosts could not keep the ball, while Ioannidis was out of the game in the first half hour. In the 36th minute, Kotsiras stole the ball, fed Palasios, who passed to Ioannidis, whose shot hit the body of Ketziora. In the next minute, Bernard played the ball from outside the area to Bacacheta, whose shot was saved by Kotarski.
In the 39th minute, Tomas stepped into the area, shot, but Zeka sent him a projection and the ball went over for a corner.
In the first minute of stoppage time after a mistake by Kotsira, Živkovic caught a shot on the move from the height of the area with the ball going wide.
Dikefalos came on strong in the second half and had a double chance in the 49th minute. Tomas’ shot was blocked by Dragovski and in the development of the phase after Constantelia’s shot Jedvai pushed the ball away with his body.
In the 54th minute, Constantelias passed a vertical pass to Zikovic, who did not have time to place Dragovski.
In the 58th minute of Vilena’s shot, Bamba kicked for a corner and in the 64th minute, Meite missed from inside the area.
PAOK opened the scoring in the 72nd minute. Tyson passed the ball to Otto, he crossed and Živković made it 0-1 with an ideal finish.
In the 81st minute, Constantelias shot from outside the area with the ball going past Dragovski’s post.
In the 86th minute, Dikefalos scored the second goal. Constantelias produced a great pass to Ozdoev, but he missed from the height of the box.
The match went to extra time and in the 103′ shot by Constantelia, he went out. In the stoppage time of the first overtime, Despontov took a corner and Keziora made it 0-2 with a header.
Injury Baba
In the 115th minute, during a claim for the ball, Vagiannidis inadvertently hit Baba on the head, who fell on the playing field, as his tongue turned and he lost consciousness. The teams’ medical staff entered the field and when the Ghanaian full-back recovered he was given a standing ovation by the Trefoil fans.
In the delays of extra time, Koulierakis pushed the ball over the home line after Mancini’s header.
In the 129th minute, Panathinaikos reduced the score to 2-1 with a shot by Limnios and the semi-final went to penalties.

**The other semi-final between Aris and Panaitolikos will be held on March 6 with Akis Manziou’s team having won 1-0 in Agrinio and taking the lead. The final is scheduled for May 18, with the venue yet to be decided.
