Citizens spend hundreds of dollars buying school books, every year the number of texts increases and as parents they are forced to buy them.

”Before what I did was that when they gave him his scholarship, we would buy the books and some school supplies,” manifested Maritzenia Pérez, mother of the family.

Just like Maritzenia, Jaime Gómez also invests at least a few $100 per yearso that her 13-year-old daughter has the books she is asked for at school.

In Panama, a fair called ”Book Sharing”a space that was opened for people to sell, donate and exchange all types of books, even novels.

To register, you can do it through the platform www.compartirlibros.com , where after registering, they exchange information about the books. The most sought after are science, Spanish, English and mathematics.

The fair will take place this Saturday at the Novotel Hotellocated in El Cangrejo, 10:00 a.m. a 4:00 p.m.

”The platform can be used nationwide and we want parents of the general population to save and learn to have responsible consumption. We have many people, almost all of them have books in their homes and they don’t know what to do with them, so why not circulate them to other corners of the country? express Yovanka Ramírez, creator of the ShareLibros platform.

The objective of this platform is for books to circulate and have a better use, seeking to reach the most difficult areas in the interior of the country.

Donating them is also a good option because you are contributing to the environment.
