Panama Receives Batch of Bivalent Vaccines Against COVID-19: 54,240 Doses Distributed Among Different Age Groups

The Ministry of Health (Minsa) through the Expanded Immunization Program (PAI) reports the arrival of 54,240 doses of bivalent vaccines, which will reinforce the National Vaccination Program, which continues to be developed by the National Government, explained Itzel de Hewitt, national head of the PAI.

Of this total, 30,240 doses are for people over 12 years of age, 18,000 will be for children from 5 to 11 years of age and 6,000 for children from 6 months to 4 years.

“You must not lower your guard, not only with the vaccine against Covid-19, but also against the vaccine against influenza, which this year we have registered deaths.”

Health authorities reiterate to the population that there are vaccines available and that they can attend health centers and police centers throughout the country, Monday through Friday, starting at 7:00 in the morning.
