The General Administrator of the ATP Iván Eskildsen participated in a meeting where IDB Invest presented this program that already has the approval of the national government. The first participating bank is Banistmo and it is estimated that it may already be available to implement with tourist companies as of August.
The Superintendent of Banks, Amauri Castillo, the President of the Banking Association Otto Wolfschoon, representatives of IDB Invest, @mefpma, @camturpanama and @apatelpanama participated in the meeting.
Among the steps to follow, IDB Invest indicated that it will promote the participation of other banks to expand the scope to more tourism companies, and that one of its objectives is to ensure that the program has the greatest possible participation of SMEs.
