PAN Rejects Erick Thohir as Prabowo or Ganjar’s Vice Presidential Candidate for 2024 Election

PAN put forward the name Erick Thohir as vice presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto or Ganjar Pranowo. PAN replied that Prabowo and Ganjar would not choose Erick to be their partner in the 2024 presidential election.

“I hope that if Pak Prabowo, that’s a wish, if that’s the case, Pak Prabowo doesn’t choose Erick Thohir as his running mate, we’ll be grateful if Prabowo chooses Zulhas,” said PAN Secretary General Eddy Soeparno, at the PAN DPP office, South Jakarta, Monday ( 5/6/2023).

Eddy hopes the same thing if Ganjar doesn’t choose Erick Thohir. He welcomed Zulhas as vice presidential candidate.

“If Pak Ganjar wants Mas Zul (Zulhas), that’s fine. We as party cadres will be very excited if our best son can advance in the presidential election,” he said.

Previously, Secretary General of the Gerindra Party Ahmad Muzani said BUMN Minister Erick Thohir was included in the cawapres radar for Gerindra Ketum Prabowo Subianto. Muzani said that so far Gerindra has been following Erick Thohir’s developments.

“Second, is Erick on the radar? Yes, we see that people who have the ability to serve the nation and the state are the best people, and everyone who is liked by the party, we certainly respect them as people who have the intention and will to serve the nation. and the state,” said Muzani after a meeting with PAN at the PAN DPP office, South Jakarta.

“Because of that, even if Mr. Erick is supported by PAN to become a vice presidential candidate, so far we have also followed Mr. Erick. Is it on the radar? Yes,” he continued.

Muzani respected PAN’s decision to propose the name Erick Thohir to become Prabowo’s vice presidential candidate. According to him, the names proposed are the people who are considered the best.

“Earlier, Mr. Erick Thohir’s name was not only brought up, it was called a mandatory menu that must be discussed. Therefore, we respect whoever the name is raised, it is part of the people who are considered the best to serve the nation and state,” he said.
