Heru Subagia was fired from his position as Chairman of the DPD PAN Cirebon Regency. Heru was fired after expressing support for Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate in the 2024 elections.
Reported detikjabar, West Java DPW Secretary Hasbullah said Heru was fired because he was not in line with party policy. PAN is known to have declared support for the Ketum of the Gerindra Party Prabowo Subianto as the upcoming 2024 presidential candidate.
“Mas Heru has been dismissed as Chairman of the Cirebon DPD by the PAN DPP for supporting Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate. Meanwhile the DPP has determined the choice of a coalition to Prabowo,” Hasbullah told detikJabar, Monday (4/9/2023).
According to Hasbullah, Heru had violated the AD/ART or PAN rules. So, he deserves to be given a strict sanction in the form of dismissal.
“In PAN’s AD/ART, if there are cadres who express opinions that can harm the party, it can indeed be recommended to be fired. Moreover, Mas Heru is scornful, on behalf of PAN Cirebon supporting Ganjar Pranowo, while the DPP has decided on a coalition against Prabowo,” he said.
The PAN DPP has also appointed a replacement for Heru Subagia to fill the vacant position of the Cirebon Regency DPD PAN. The DPP assigned Nurul Qomar, a figure known as a comedian in Indonesia.
