Jakarta –
The eligibility of the National Mandate Party (PAN) of the Saiful Mujani Research and Consulting (SMRC) poll at 1.7%. PAN Deputy Chief Yandri Susanto said the poll was invalid.
“PAN has participated in elections 5 times, Alhamdulillah, always crosses the parliamentary threshold far above the figures estimated or displayed, or narrated by investigative institutions, including SMRC,” Yandri told PAN DPP office on Sunday (18/ 12/2022).
Yandri asked related institutions not to build a narrative that brought down the PAN. According to him, the narrative does not match the facts.
“I think they really need to repent, repent in building invalid and unjust narratives. And I don’t know if they were ordered or what, always the narrative (PAN) has not passed the parliamentary threshold even if 5 times you know, except once, passed 2 times , that’s fine,” Yandri said.
Yandri questioned whether the SMRC institution was independent. However, Yandri continued, his party responded casually to the poll results.
“Maybe they use sponsors, but the thing is, the PAN always passes, even well over 6.5 points, right? If they say 1.7 percent, 1.9 percent, that’s 7.9 percent, right? It’s 8.7 (percent). lo. So, I think survey institutes who claim to be very smart and very accurate should repent but they are inaccurate,” Yandri explained.
“But that’s fine with us, we casually take it as our encouragement,” she added.
Yandri next touched the poll in his constituency. According to Yandri, PAN voters are quite unique because they are more leaning towards their candidate.
“For example, in Banten electoral district 2, the PAN vote is only 20%, the legislative candidate votes are 80%. So maybe if you want to draw a straight line with the pollsters, they might ask who is the PAN or their voted party,” Yandri said.
“There may not be many PAN candidates, but if we looked at legislative candidates, including PAN candidates, the results could be different,” he said.
