The book presents a rational pan-Africanist vision, different from African sovereignist currents. In this book, the authors retrace the life course of Prof. Anicet Mungala who was a genius of Congolese and African education whose innumerable initiatives and achievements create an osmosis. Indeed, his life story awakens consciousness in the face of democratic deficiencies, ignorance of fundamental human rights, the recovery of higher education, recurring causes of disturbances and instabilities tainting the fulfillment of republican promises and virtues. in Congo-Kinshasa.

Spread over 160 pages, this book is a praise of Prof. Anicet Mungala, politician and actor in Congolese education, notably founder of the African Bureau of Educational Sciences in 1973, which in the 2000s became the Pan-African Institute for education which remains his major work.

A lawyer by training, the author Richard Ossoma-Lesmois graduated from the Marien-Ngouabi University in Brazzaville. For his part, Eugène Mungala is a graduate in administration, management and economics. He is also an executive specializing in management and management in real estate.

As a reminder, the “Pan-African Grand Prix” is designed to promote the literary works of African writers working on the African continent and abroad. It will be awarded each year to authors who stand out in their different productions. However the “Congolese book prize”, meanwhile, is designed primarily for the promotion of Congolese authors. In addition, all African writers are concerned by this competition, the works must reflect the great values ​​enshrined in the Charter of the African Union, in particular solidarity, pan-Africanism and the peaceful cohabitation of peoples.

According to the organizers of the event, the related prize will be awarded next November on the occasion of the International Day of the African Writer. As for the awarding of the prize, it will take place in February 2022 at the summit of heads of state and government of the African Union.
