It is with horror-mixed joy that Pamela Anderson (54) enters her new role.

Earlier this month, the news came that the “Baywatch” legend will play the lead role as Roxie Hart in the classic «Chicago» – on the world ’s most famous musical scene, namely Broadway in New York .
– A dream come true, she said in the announcement.
As the premiere date is now approaching, the starting shot goes namely April 12, the 54-year-old has a little mixed feelings.
– I am excited and at the same time terrified, Anderson says «Entertainment Tonight» .
In fact, American-Canadian Anderson is said to have received an offer from Broadway already ten years ago, but then she declined.
The sons Dylan (24) and Brandon (25), who Anderson has with her ex-husband Tommy Lee (59), were then teenagers, and the TV star explains that she could not bear the thought of being away from them. At the time, she and the boys lived in California.
– But now they are adults. Producer Barry Weissler called me and said the time was right. And that one is that, says Pamela, who last year moved to Vancouver, Canada.

It’s been a long time since Anderson was featured as an actor. In recent years, she has earned a living by first and foremost by appearing in various advertising campaigns and accepting reality shows, PR stunts and fashion shows.
– I needed something like this in my life right now, she explains about the Broadway assignment in the recent interview.
– It was time for real to dive into something. There was a need that arose. But it is a completely crazy experience just to throw yourself into singing, dancing, acting and theater people on all sides.
She is humble about “being surrounded by so many talents”.
– I feel very humble about it, but I like to do scary things.
“Chicago” premiered in 1975 and is the longest-running musical on Broadway. Anderson promises to give the role personality and add something completely new to it.
Parts of Anderson’s own life were recently unfolded in the drama series “Pam & Tommy” at Disney. VG’s reviewer gave the series roll the dice 3 and described it as «tone-deaf tragicomedy. watch clips on VGTV:
