HEBRON – The mourners Palestine called for a change of government as they marched through Hebron for the funeral of one of President Mahmoud Abbas’ critics, Nizar Banat.
Banat died after being arrested by Palestinian Authority security forces. Thousands of people accompany Nizar Banat’s coffin through the streets of the West Bank city.
Many mourners chanted, “The people want the fall of the regime” and “Go, go Abbas.”

Some waved Palestinian flags and others waved the flags of Hamas, Abbas’ rival in the Gaza Strip.
