RAMALLAH – Authority Palestine (PA) recently asked permission to Israel to replenish supplies of anti-riot equipment, including tear gas and stun grenades.
“The request is in anticipation of protests in the West Bank regarding the extrajudicial killings by the Palestinian security services of critics of the Nizar Banat government in Hebron last week,” Israeli portal Ynet News reported.
The site quotes Palestinian sources as saying the equipment can only be purchased with Israeli permission, and in limited quantities.

According to the source, the Palestinian security forces’ stockpile of anti-riot equipment is running out following the dispersal of protests in Ramallah last week.
