According to the Israeli Army Radio, the perpetrator fired 5 bullets from a pistol at the two dead, two Israeli citizens living in southern Israel, a father and his son.
A security official said the attacker fired at point blank range and then withdrew.

No Palestinian faction claimed the operation immediately, but Hamas blessed it.
