Hello and welcome to World Today News. Today we have the pleasure of speaking with two esteemed guests, Angela and Maria, who are experts in the field of gender studies and public health, respectively. Thank you both for joining us today.
To start off, could you please tell us about the significance of the “Palermo in Rosa” event and how it aims to raise awareness about gender violence and promote women’s health?
Angela: Thank you for having me. “Palermo in Rosa” is a recreational sporting event that takes place annually in Palermo, Italy, to raise awareness about gender violence and promote women’s health. It is an opportunity for people from all walks of life to come together and show their support for these important issues. The event includes a free yoga class, musical performances, and speeches by prominent figures in the field, all centered around the theme of gender equality and empowerment. By bringing together different sectors of the community, we hope to create a more inclusive and safe environment for women and everyone who identifies as female.

Furthermore, it provides a platform for these discussions to take place within the wider community, fostering greater understanding and empathy towards those who have been affected by gender violence.
Our next section of the interview will focus on the program for the event. Can you tell us more about the activities that participants can expect during “Palermo in Rosa” and how they contribute to the overall message of the event?
Angela: Yes, sure. The day begins with a free yoga class which not only encourages physical activity but also promotes mindfulness and self-care. After that, there are various musical performances and speeches by prominent figures in the field. These performances and speeches serve to educate the audience about the pervasiveness of gender violence and its impact on society. In addition, there will be a presentation of the Marisa Leo Association, which supports victims of
