At Paléo, for the good of festival-goers, pogos are considered “a risky activity”.

Can the artists ask the public at the Paléo to pogoter, to go from right to left and vice versa, or to make the wall of death? “Yes, they can interact with the crowd. But, as these are risky activities, such as parachute jumping or paragliding, we have procedures, which can go as far as stopping the concert temporarily, to check that everyone is well, ”says Pascal Viot, security coordinator.

The one who is a specialist in crowd movements specifies that there is constant surveillance and observation of festival-goers. He also recalls that before performances, the festival tries to make artists and their managers aware of security issues. “What I see is that more and more, it’s the musicians themselves who stop the show and tell security that there are people in distress,” he rejoices.
