2. Football-Liga

On Wednesday next week (October 26) the Paladins will officially begin the 2023 second division season. Not yet on the pitch, but at the organization level. From 19:00 onwards, all those who in the future want to accompany the Solingen team will be warmly welcomed in the youth center of the football district of Gillicher Straße 30, whether as an experienced player, newcomer or in another position around the team, including instruct. No pre-registration is required.
At the meeting with business partners that just took place, the Paladins drew a mixed conclusion from last season, which had held the extremely subtle German League 2 soccer championship. “We belong to the 2nd league”, said president Ingo Hübner Silva confidently, but he is also aware of the club’s shortcomings. Due to the pandemic, gaming operations in the youth field have almost stopped. The goal is to remedy, among other things, by founding gaming communities. On the other hand, it was a pleasure to watch the women who finished second in the second division in their season. Flag football as a non-contact variant has also become a foolproof success.
Parallel to the sport, the Paladins are significantly involved in important planning around the Walder stadium. The city has already implemented the refurbishment of the training ground including the football lines, the construction of a new club house with state funds and a catering area thanks to the commitment of the support group Jahnkampfbahn is firmly planned for the near future.
