Palace Opens Up After An Old Man Throws Rolls of Paper at Jokowi in Lumajang

MALANG, KOMPAS.TVPresident Joko Widodo (Jokowi) was caught on camera throwing a roll of paper by a grandfather while visiting the Mount Semeru disaster site, Lumajang, East Java.

In the viral video circulating, the grandfather was seen waiting for Jokowi on the side of the road with other residents.

When Jokowi’s car approached and the window was opened, the grandfather immediately threw the scroll at the Head of State.

The roll of paper was caught by Jokowi. He glanced at the contents of the paper before putting it away.

Head of the Presidential Secretariat Heru Budi Hartono confirmed the incident.

“Yes, that’s right,” his answer was briefly quoted from Kompas.com, Friday (10/12/2021).

Budi continued, the throwing was carried out on Tuesday (07/12) yesterday when Jokowi visited areas affected by the eruption of Mount Semeru in Lumajang.

However, it is not clear what the contents of the paper are. Now the roll of paper that was thrown is still kept by President Jokowi.
