Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pakistan said 8 people died in a hotel fire in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, six others were reported injured.

“We have reports of 8 deaths and 6 Pakistanis injured in the incident. Our mission in Jeddah is in touch with local authorities to provide assistance to the victims and their families,” a Pakistani foreign ministry spokesperson told Pakistan state media Associated Press of Pakistan. , Sunday (21/5/2023).

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif expressed sorrow over the death of 8 worshipers Pakistan who lost their lives. Sharif expressed his sympathy to the bereaved family and conveyed his condolences.

He also prayed for the victims and grieving families to be given fortitude.

Sharif directed the Ministry of Religion to look after the health of the injured congregation and provide all possible facilities for the bereaved families.
