On this day, the first feature film “Pakistan Girl” co-produced by China and Pakistan held its premiere here. The whole film was shot in Pakistan, and tells the story of a Chinese female engineer who went to Pakistan to participate in the construction of a hydropower station and a local girl in Pakistan because of football, helping each other and finally realizing each other’s life dreams.

Xie Peng, the Chinese producer of the film, is from Sichuan. He told reporters that after the 2008 Wenchuan Earthquake, Pakistan gave all its support and transported all the strategic reserve tents to Sichuan as soon as possible.

“The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project is a testimony of the friendship between the two peoples,” Xie Peng said. “I hope that through the production of this film, we can tell the story of the mutual understanding between the two peoples and continue to inherit the traditional friendship between China and Pakistan.”

One of the main filming locations of the film is the Karot Hydropower Station, the first hydropower investment project built under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project. Wang Minsheng, head of China Three Gorges South Asia Investment Co., Ltd., who is in charge of the project, told reporters that the idea of ​​”peace is the most precious” shown in the film just reflects the joint consultation and joint construction that Chinese companies uphold when practicing the joint construction of the “Belt and Road” The idea of ​​sharing.

Young actor Suraj Khan played the role of a Pakistani youth who has formed a deep friendship with Chinese engineers in the film. He talked about his experience of working with Chinese colleagues.
