Perth: ODI series against Australia for Pakistan. In the third match, Pakistan defeated the hosts by eight wickets to win the series 2-1. In the match held in Perth, Pakistan bowled out the Aussies for 140 after losing their toss. Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah took three wickets each to destroy Australia. Harris Rauf has two wickets. Sean Abbott scored 30 runs and was the top scorer for the Aussies. In reply, Pakistan overcame the target with the loss of just two wickets in 26.5 overs. Meanwhile, Australia went without senior players. Steven Smith, Marnes Labuchane, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazelwood did not play. Josh Inglis led the Aussies without Cummins.

Although both returned, Babar Azam (28) and Mohammad Rizwan (30) dominated for Pakistan. This is the official ODI series where Rizwan will captain Pakistan. Rizwan managed to win the series on his debut as a hero.

On the other hand the Aussies had a bad start as the score would suggest. Opener Jake Fraser McGurk (7) returned in the fourth round. Aaron Hardy (12) and Josh Inglis (7) also failed to shine. Meanwhile, Matthew Short (22) also returned. Cooper Connolly (7) retired and suffered a setback for the Aussies. As always, Glenn Maxwell is back with a bang. Marcus Stoinis (8) also failed to shine. Later, Sean Abbott’s fightback with Adam Zampa (13) and Spencer Johnson (12 not out) took the score to at least 140. Lance Morris (0) was the other man out.
