Munich’s favorite debate, whether at some point, somewhere and by whom, another concert hall for classical music will be built, has in fact been a nuisance for 20 years. The fact that the building has not yet stood is because it was designed too petty and small. But now this could be changed very easily. There is a great chance that a private investor will build an underground opera house – and not just a concert hall – into the striking former parcel post hall on the western edge of the center.
