PAIS Program organized free workshops for 200 Molino producers

The PAIS National Program of the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion (Midis) organized a highly productive day at the Callagan Manzano Tambo, where around 220 producers from the Molino district, in the province of Pachitea, participated in five free training workshops.

These workshops focused on agricultural development and risk management. Participants received training in key areas of productive development, including soil analysis, labeling and sending samples to the laboratory, fertilization of crops such as potatoes, corn and beans, and access to catastrophic agricultural insurance to deal with damages caused by climatic and natural risks. They were also trained in risk management in the event of heavy rains.

The event was attended by technical representatives of the Pachitea Agrarian Agency, specialists from INIA and Agroconfianza, as well as the sub-directorate of risk and disaster management of the District Municipality of Molino. The workshops, which lasted about five hours, provided producers with valuable tools and knowledge to improve their agricultural practices and reduce production costs.

In addition, guidance was provided on how to access national, regional and local competitive funds, thereby providing additional opportunities for economic development and agricultural revitalization in the region.

The PAIS Program of Midis manages 45 Tambos distributed in 37 districts of Huánuco. To date, 45,658 users have been served and 176,482 social, economic and productive services have been provided to the vulnerable population in rural areas.
