“Behind the Scene of the Zoo” – NHK, JAPAN
A Japanese television crew shot a 90-minute broadcast for NHK, the national broadcaster, in Pairi Daiza called “Behind the Scene of the Zoo“. This program has been around for 10 years and has visited zoos in Japan, Singapore, the US, as well as Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic. They investigate why Pairi Daiza is mentioned in lists of the Best Zoo in the World. The program is hosted by Kodai Kurosaki, who was elected ‘Rising Star’ for Japan in 2024. The Pairi Daiza episode first aired on August 17, it will get a more prominent place in the schedule on September 14.
One Zoo Three – BBC, United Kingdom
Pairi Daiza also opens season 5 of the British TV show One Zoo Three, which premiered on CBBC and BBC iPlayer in September 2020, with a total of over 50 episodes, a spin-off OZT Goes Wild in Britain (5 x 28 minutes) and a Broadcast Digital Highly Commended Award in 2024.
The broadcast is currently one of the most watched programmes online on the CBBC app, online since 26.08.2024.
Fall 2024
Pairi Daiza will be open daily in 2024 and will offer additional seasonal entertainment, nocturnes and decorations throughout the year around Carnival, Easter, Halloween and Christmas.
The gastronomic offering and even the enrichment activities for the animals regularly respond to seasonal themes.
